Black Iris Foundation is a Virginia nonstock corporation developing charitable and educational programs in partnership with Black Iris. Its purpose is to make creative opportunities and community programs more accessible.
The founding team brings more than ten years of community outreach experience through Black Iris’s social-club activities. The foundation is the next chapter: a dedicated home for charitable arts and community programs.
Proposed residencies combine space to work with opportunities to share work, teach, and connect with the public. Depending on the award and available funding, support may include approved lodging nearby.
Federal 501(c)(3) recognition has not yet been obtained. Black Iris’s history is distinct from the new foundation’s operating history.
